Healthy MEdia Commission Geena Davis joined media industry partners and leaders met at the Healthy Media for Youth Summit on October 6, 2010 in Washington, DC to discuss healthy media for youth, with an emphasis on media images of women and girls. Hosted by the Girl Scouts, the National Association of Broadcasters, the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) and the Creative Coalition. On April 27, 2011, Geena Davis and Deborah Taylor Tate (former FCC Commissioner) launch Healthy MEdia: Commission for Positive Images of Women and Girls with partners Girl Scouts of the USA, the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA), and The Creative Coalition. Commission members include media industry leaders, subject matter experts, youth representatives, and the creative community. On July 12, 2011, Girl Scouts of the USA hosted the Healthy MEdia Commission for Positive Images of Women and Girls Inaugural Meeting in Washington, DC. Below are photos from these related events.
